If you are an accomplished Robotics Software Engineer with a desire to work on something meaningful and help solve a problem that is negatively impacting people’s health and the environment - then this could be an excellent opportunity.

As a young tech-for-good start-up in Sheffield and with some impressive funding, they are looking to push the development and grow their team in order to further develop a highly intelligent robotics system. Working on cutting-edge force control algorithms, impedance control alongside Machine Learning and Computer Vision techniques – this role will allow you to apply your skills to solve a real-world problem in a multi-billion pound industry.

As a Robotics Engineer, you will relish solving complex problems at the forefront of robotics technology using your own autonomy and cutting-edge research. The Robotics Software Engineer will work in the R&D team on robotics control and automation, vision systems and integration with hardware. There is plenty of scope to get involved in various aspects where your role will be critical to the success of the product.

Robotics Engineer Requirements:

·Robotics or related degree. Master’s / PhD preferred

·Knowledge of force control, cartesian admittance / Impedance control

·C / C++, ROS, Python, hardware, Machine Learning knowledge

·Research related to Robotics or Computer vision (object tracking, sensor fusion, motion planning) beneficial
